Hey there. I liked your grandpa voice, kid voice and the ape man. You did a very good job at mixing and editing. The sound effects fit very well and add to the story rather than take away from it.

Other than that, seeing just how skilled you are, I would have really like a bit more emphasis on the acting portion of your project and a bit more time helping us get a bit more involved with the script. I feel that the story ended up suffering because of listener being led through the story a bit too quickly.

Either way, thank you so much for taking the time to share this with us. I hope that if you have a genuine interest in pursuing voice acting as something you'd seriously like to do that you'll continue. :)

Heheheh, "No, you don't hit START." Love it! This was very fun. I enjoyed the game wizard concept and the ancient gaming scrolls idea, quite comedic. Very nice job. I have nothing to complain about. Good range, good acting, good writing. Thanks for sharing this with us!

I liked your choice in voices, the acting, and range. Though, I really wish I could have had a better chance at enjoying what you have to offer without the sound quality getting in the way. It does sound like you cleaned it up, but not enough to keep it from being a distraction, and that's really too bad.

As I see in the comments it said that you didn't write anything and just improved. Is that right? Well unfortunately this does show. It would have been nice to have heard you put more effort into the script then, as in, writing it first. I think this could have really improved the overall presentation.

Anyway. Thank you for sharing this wish us. I hope that if you do wish to continue voice acting and share your talent with us, that you will find more dynamic and ways to do so. :)

Yeah, the whole thing takes place in a car with rain outside. So the sounds you hear are various soundfiles of a car interior with rain outside and wipers on, doors opening and closing, outside rain while the doors are open, and then some various interior sounds when they get back in to the car.

I'm realizing I should have just left them all out, since it's different hearing something you recorded yourself and listening to someone elses recording. I know what the sounds are, I know what the characters are saying and what the voices sound like. But other people will just hear a jumbled up mess. Thank you for your feedback, and yeah, I had fun, I'll be coming back for other competitions. You learn from your mistakes.

Hello. I also noticed quite a bit if static, pops and other microphone noises. As well as not being able to easily understand all that was being said, especially with Miz Tentacles.

What's left for me to address would be your range. While I was only able to really get a good listen to the childlike voice and the mother like voice I would say that they were very well done. Then we have the acting. The emotions behind the voices were all very similar in tone, which would mean, if we're listening to it from a voice acting standpoint, the case of blending emotions proves to be a bit of a setback.

I can appreciate the effort and the imagination put into this. A tantalizing story. It takes quite a bit of bravery to bring forth such a sexual array of imagery into a script.

I would like to be respectful and give you an honest score. Thank you sharing this with us and I hope that if voice acting is something you are very interested in that you will continue. :)

TrixiesTale responds:

Oh yes, for sure, this was my first v.a. contest so hopefully I will get better!

This is great. I really loved your different voices. As AderuMoro said, their own little tics and distinctions, very entertaining! Even though I extremely dislike bratwurst, heheh. Anyway, I hope his best friend ends up surviving. That'd be very sad. I'd have no idea how to handle myself if I was being threatened my best friend's life for a recipe my boss was reluctant to sell.

I also experienced the narrator farther into the right side of the speaker. I even flipped my headphones to double check. Ah, well. Anyway. Overall. Very well done. Well written. Well mixed. Well acted. You're quite talented!

I am happy you enjoyed my acting I have listened to some of your work and I especially liked one of your recent videos. Well I could say that the meaning was deep about how some people have a obscure ideal on what they value until the world forces there perspective. I am happy you liked it and thanks for listening.

I loved the variety and this was a very neat idea. I felt a little confused but enjoyed it nonetheless. Again, really neat idea. Great variety!

Very well written nice twist. Lovely job on the editing and the sound effects definitely added to the story rather than taking away from it. I really like your voice, it's nice to listen to. I absolutely loved your range in voices, all of them. Good job, man.

KirbzVA responds:

Thank you for the kind words, I appreciate it :) Glad you liked the story!

This game sounds like fun. haha. Well I enjoyed this. You offered a lot of range and music and the sound effects were well chosen and well placed. I do admit there was a part in the beginning where the gap of differentiation between the characters had narrowed and I became slightly disoriented, but as I said you offered a lot of range otherwise.

As I could hear the sound of the environment of where you were recording such as a wall or other flat surfaces causing a slight reverberation it was hard for me to envision a graveyard. I felt perhaps more critter noises like owls, crickets, wind or the rustling of leaves may have helped paint a more thorough picture.

Other than that your script was very creative and FUNNY! I liked the part where you said, "wait, can I rephrase that!?" before turning to stone. Heheh. Anyway. Four stars! Lovely job.

moonvamp responds:

Thanks a lot for the critique. I'm glad you enjoyed it for what it was.

Yeah, I can definitely concur with you in terms of the atmosphere. My recording equipment, as it stands, is only slightly professional. I wish I had some blankets or pillows to try and compensate for that reverb in the background. Then again, looking at my laptop screen as well as being covered with a blanket is a little chaotic. For some reason, I don't like the idea of printing my scripts. I don't know why, but I should probably change my habit of that for future references. Blast my tiny, crammed room. -_-

That, and I can concur with your suggestions for adding more background noises like owls. I added a few after I uploaded this, but sadly I didn't even think about adding more.

Thanks again for the critique. I wish I could fix up my recording issues, but hopefully I'll think of something to improve my mixing.

Hahaha. This was great! I wasn't sure what kind of story to expect. I really enjoyed this. Great job! You did so many voices! I was impressed. I liked your little fairy banter in the background when they returned home and during the ritual, so adorable. Sexy succubus voice too, you rocked that one. I give you five stars. :D

AderuMoro responds:

Aw thanks so much for taking the time to listen and review :D Glad you enjoyed!

Quite entertaining. You do a very convincing douche, it's spooky. :P Haha. Anyway, you get my 5 stars today. *sigh* You still sound so hot, even as a douche.
